On July 21, Chery Automobile officially unveiled its new compact SUV, the Fengyun X3L. The vehicle features an extended range powertrain with an all-electric range of up to 150 km. In terms of design, the Fengyun X3L adopts the popular 'boxy' style, featuring straight and robust lines, complemented by a rugged front bumper that gives the front fascia a powerful appearance. The dimensions of the Fengyun X3L are 4545 (4503) mm in length, 1950 mm in width, and 1815 (1785) mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2783 mm. The side design is very simple, with wheel arches that feature the wide-body design popular in mainstream off-road models, along with multi-spoke wheels and black side skirts adding to the rugged feel. At the rear, the new SUV is equipped with an exterior-mounted 'backpack' that includes a mesh pocket separation area for storing wet items like umbrellas and rain boots during off-road scenarios. The tail lights feature a vertical design with polygonal elements that enhance recognition when illuminated. Inside, the Fengyun X3L adopts a traditional 'T' layout, with a central console that includes a handle, maintaining its off-road atmosphere. It is equipped with an embedded full LCD instrument panel and a floating 15.6-inch central screen, providing a good sense of technology. In terms of power, the new SUV is equipped with an extended range power system that includes a 1.5T engine, with the 1.5T extender producing a maximum power of 115 kW. The Fengyun X3L will be available with two battery capacities of 20.638 kWh and 33.679 kWh, offering a maximum all-electric range of 150 km.
