BYD Launches New Mid-Size SUV - Sea Lion 06

On July 24, BYD officially launched its new mid-size SUV, the Sea Lion 06, under its Ocean Series. The vehicle is available in both plug-in hybrid (DM-i) and fully electric (EV) versions. The official price range for the Sea Lion 06 DM-i is between 139,800 to 156,800 yuan, while the Sea Lion 06 EV is priced between 143,800 to 163,800 yuan. The Sea Lion 06 features a design based on ocean aesthetics and comes in five exterior colors including Warm Sun White and Cloud Sea Gray. The interior adopts a 'dual floating' layout with options for Sea Rhythm Gray and Night Black. Its dimensions are 4810mm in length, 1920mm in width, and 1675mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm. The trunk capacity is 757 liters, and the EV version offers an additional 142-liter front trunk. Configuration includes electric adjustments for the driver and passenger seats, front seat ventilation/heating, electric lumbar support, and a dual-use vehicle refrigerator. The Sea Lion 06 DM-i version is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM technology, achieving a fuel consumption of 3.5L per 100km in NEDC conditions, with a combined range of 1670km on full fuel and battery. The Sea Lion 06 EV, built on the e-platform 3.0 Evo, offers two range options of 520km and 605km. The new model features a front MacPherson and rear multi-link suspension structure, and is equipped with the Yun Niao-C intelligent damping vehicle control system across all models to enhance driving stability and handling. In terms of intelligent driving, the Sea Lion 06 comes standard with the Tian Shen Zhi Yan C - Intelligent Driving Assistance 3-eye version (DiPilot 100), supporting high-speed navigation assistance and full-scene intelligent parking assistance features. The cabin includes the advanced DiLink 100 system, supporting ONE ID settings and mobile NFC key functionalities. In terms of safety, in addition to a high-strength body and seven airbags, the Sea Lion 06 is equipped with active safety features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure assistance, blind spot monitoring, and for the first time, the TSC high-speed blowout stability control system.
