XPeng's First EREV, G01, Spotted in Spy Shots: Features Three-Row, Six-Seat Layout and 800V Architecture

Spy shots of XPeng’s first extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), the G01, have been revealed by foreign media outlet CarNewsChina. The vehicle will feature a three-row, six-seat layout and is expected to enter mass production at XPeng’s second factory in the fourth quarter of this year. An official launch is anticipated between the end of this year and early next year, with a price projected to be in the 250,000 to 300,000 yuan range.

The G01 will be developed on XPeng’s new “G platform” and will utilize an 800V architecture. It measures 5.1 meters in length with a 3-meter wheelbase. The vehicle is reported to have a CLTC pure electric range of 430 kilometers and a total maximum range of up to 1,400 kilometers.

The spy shots suggest the G01 could be equipped with LiDAR, although all of XPeng’s recently announced new models have adopted a vision-based hybrid solution for their autonomous driving systems.

According to reports from earlier this year, XPeng is planning at least five EREV models, including both sedans and SUVs. It was previously reported that the first EREV would be based on the existing X9 model and enter production in the second half of this year. Additionally, EREV versions of the P7 and G6 are also expected.
